Every Life Matters

In 2023, 7,055 people in the UK lost their lives to suicide – that’s 19 people every single day. Each of those numbers represents a person who mattered, and families, friends, and communities left behind.

Globally, the World Health Organization estimates that 703,000 people die by suicide each year – one every 40 seconds. For every life lost, there are many more attempts, and countless others grieving. Research suggests that 135 people are directly affected by every suicide, meaning over 95 million people are impacted worldwide each year.

Why This Matters

For many of us, this isn’t just a statistic. Suicide has touched our lives personally. That experience – and the need for change – fuels our determination to do more.

At the Collaboration Network, we believe in creating platforms that bring people together to share knowledge, build awareness, and equip individuals and organisations with the tools to help save lives.
